Uitwaaien
Uitwaaien is an idiomatic Dutch expression that means to go out in windy weather, particularly into nature or a park, in order to refresh and clear one’s mind. Uitwaaien comes from the Dutch uit– ‘out-‘ and waaien, ‘to blow’, of wind.
We all need to do this from time to time – after a tough week or simply after focusing on something for long. I just had such a week and now I welcome the breeze and the widened horizons. How have you all been? Do you regularly take time to recharge, to breathe?
This week’s piece of wisdom is related: Human mood and well-being are heavily influenced by simple things: Exercise, good sleep, light, being in nature. It’s cheap to experiment with these.
